Publication Ethics

GJILT is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics. All parties involved — authors, editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher — are expected to uphold internationally recognized principles of academic integrity.

Peer Review Policy

GJILT employs a double-blind peer review process in which the identities of authors and reviewers are concealed from one another. Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two independent expert reviewers with relevant expertise.

Final publication decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer recommendations. The journal is committed to providing thorough, fair, and constructive feedback to authors.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are responsible for ensuring the originality of their work, the accuracy of data, and the correctness of references. Authors must:

  • Submit original work that has not been published elsewhere
  • List all authors who have made substantive contributions
  • Disclose any conflicts of interest transparently
  • Notify the editor if significant errors are discovered in a published article
  • Comply with applicable research ethics standards, including ethical approval where human subjects are involved

Plagiarism Policy

All submitted manuscripts are screened using industry-standard plagiarism detection tools. Plagiarism, self-plagiarism, and other forms of academic misconduct are not tolerated and may result in:

  • Immediate rejection of the manuscript
  • Retraction of a published article
  • Notification to the author's affiliated institution

Authors who cite their own prior work must disclose this explicitly and ensure that the new manuscript makes a significant original contribution.

Conflict of Interest

Authors, editors, and peer reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could affect the objectivity of the review or publication process. Editors with a conflict of interest regarding a manuscript will recuse themselves from decision-making.

Data Availability

Authors are encouraged to make research data publicly available in reputable data repositories. A data availability statement should be included in published articles where applicable.

Corrections & Retractions

GJILT will promptly issue corrections, clarifications, or retractions if significant errors are found that affect research results or conclusions. Retraction decisions follow the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
