Peer Review Process

Ensuring the quality, integrity, and objectivity of published work.

JIET employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and objectivity of published work. Both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from each other throughout the review process.

Review Workflow

  1. Submission — Author submits manuscript via OJS.
  2. Editorial Screening — Editor-in-Chief conducts initial screening for scope, quality, and completeness.
  3. Plagiarism Check — Manuscript checked using Turnitin (maximum similarity index: 25%).
  4. Peer Review — Manuscript sent to 2 (two) independent reviewers for double-blind evaluation.
  5. Editorial Decision — Based on reviewer recommendations:
    • Accepted without revision
    • Accepted with minor revision
    • Major revision required
    • Rejected
  6. Revision — Author revises based on reviewer feedback.
  7. Final Decision — Editor-in-Chief makes final acceptance decision.
  8. Proofreading & Layout — Copy editing and layout preparation.
  9. Publication — Article published online with DOI.
